Every season brings along with itself something new and exciting.

Monsoon season is always loved by everyone. It brings so many new and happy things.

Everything becomes enjoyable in this weather.

However, the one thing that bothers most women is how they should dress up to tackle the mess of the monsoon season.

But Alas, this year due to COVID-19 we can't even step out of our homes.

But I really pray that everything gets better & everyone feel safe at their homes.

But what if everything gets back to normal?

Here are some tips for all my lovely girls out there who love wearing ethnic wear.

Everyone talks about western wear but what about those who love wearing ethnic wear and those with strict Indian dress code?

Don't worry !

The fashion trends of the monsoon season dictate that one must avoid specific fabric & stick to those that are easy to dry.

Colors and patterns also have a role here.

The tip here is cutting down on the zari work while wearing any outfit and go for appropriate designs.

Indeed, there is  a whole host of things that should be born in mind while dressing up for the monsoon.

♡TIPS FOR ETHNIC WEAR♡

1. GO FOR PANTS/LEGGINGS AS THE PREFERRED BOTTOM WEAR :
Irrespective of the city you live in,the season of rains means the season of puddles and collected water for sure.

To survive that one of the first precautions  to avoid is wearing patiala or loose salwar kameez

Stick to cotton pants or  leggings . This will help you to navigate through messy puddle-filled roads with minimum mess.

2. AVOID KURTAS WITH LOT OF FLARES :
The monsoon season calls for shorter kurta as compared to others as they are light to carry and can dry off easily even if they do get wet.

Try to go for kurtis that provides you maximum mobility.

These days straight & A-line kurtas are in fashion, as they are easy to maintain to that of flared ones.

3.USE SCARVES AND STOLES:
You can give the traditional dupatta which matches you salwar kameez a different look by replacing it with contrast scarves .

Multicolored ones or the ones with prints this monsoon.

Not only will they give you a different look but they are much easier to manage.

Since the conventional dupattas are really long, they tend to get wet more easily if you accidentally sweep the floor with it while not noticing.

Scarves also allows you to cover your head with it if the situation such arises.
(thereby preventing your hair from coming in direct contact with the rain & moisture).

4. CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE FABRIC:
Wearing pure cotton clothes must be avoided since they take longer time to dry up.

When wet clothes stay in your body for  long hours, it exposes you to host of viral infections.

To avoid that , try wearing polyester ,nylon & chiffon clothing during the monsoon season.

5.GO FOR CULOTTES INSTEAD OF PALAZZO:
This point is particularly useful for those girls who are fond of wearing palazzos but are unable to do so because of the rains.

Culottes are as comfortable as ethnic palazzos.

You can team these with kurtas and look glamorous.

6.AVOID WEARING WHITE & BEIGE:
These are the colors which are very susceptible to stains.

Moreover as the weather outside is very gloomy , you can add some color to your outfit .

Try to go for brighter shades.

If you're not fond of such bright colors then go for black or dark brown and try to go for printed materials as well.

Even if you wear light color material make sure you style it up with bright colors scarves.

7.ACCESSORIZE YOUR ETHNIC WEAR:
Normally one would wear long traditional earrings with ethnic wear.

You can give oxidized jewelry a miss and try wearing rubber or plastic jewelry.

And yeah you can also go for stud earings and your all time favorite watch. (Just make sure you take care of it while it's raining) .

Make sure that you do not put too much of makeup since most of it will get smudged in the rain and ensure that the products you use are waterproof.

And last but not the least don't forget to wear a mask.

8.SHOES:
As far as shoes are concerned go for flats or shoes which are specially designed for monsoon season.

Make sure the sole of that shoe never be plain it should have some zigzag or texture on it so that you don't slip.

Please keep it in mind it's really very important.

Don't forget to carry umbrellas and raincoats everyday.
